It all started with this old Soviet film camera back in 1988.

About Me

My photography journey began in 1988 when I was just nine years old. My father handed me an old Soviet film camera, the FED3, and what started as a childhood curiosity quickly ignited into a lifelong passion. Instead of attending ballroom dance classes, I roamed the streets of Riga, capturing the world through my lens. My dad was initially furious when he discovered my secret, but his anger turned to amazement when he developed the film. The images I had taken were far from amateur—they were captivating. He may have realized then that I was a better photographer than a dancer, though I still like to think my dancing isn’t too bad.

Years later, I pursued formal photography education in San Francisco, USA. What began as a hobby—capturing moments for friends and family—has evolved into my life's work. I specialize in photographing people, and nothing brings me more joy than creating portraits that reveal the true beauty of my subjects. My greatest challenge, and most rewarding achievement, is helping my models shed their everyday masks to reveal their pure, authentic emotions.

Taking a picture may be simple, but creating a beautiful image requires a deep connection between the photographer and the subject. It’s about exchanging the gift of trust and capturing that intimate moment when someone’s true self shines through.

Let's create that magic together. Whether it's a wedding, a special event, or a personal project you’re passionate about, I'm here to transform those moments into timeless memories.
